Smart Phone data plans

Hi everyone,
Thanks again for all your feedback about the iphone. It was very helpful. I realize phone plans are worlds better in the states than they are in Canada, but I thought it would be worth asking everyone. There's a plan right now with Kuda (a Canadian company) where I could get 6 GB of data for $60 per month. My question is, would I really need that much? I'd like to go with something a little lower, but I also don't want to be too constrained either. What constitutes data usage, and how much usage would 1 GB of data be (which is my other option?) What do you all do with your iphones/smart phones, and how much data do you generally use? I plan to use email, maybe social media, a little web browsing, text messaging, phone calls and maybe a little video streaming. But I wonder how much things like a GPS ap (which I know the Iphone uses) and other interesting accessibility apps take up.

Thanks everyone.

If you are using GPS and such things you'll want the 6 GB. You can watch how it goes, so no problem going over.
The iPhone is Wi Fi this means when at home or anyplace that has it you simply connect to your internet, so no data gets used. You'll only use data when you are not home or a place you can't get Wi Fi, such as taking a walk using the GPS.
If you plan to use many Apps when you aren't home, get as much data as you can afford, than adjust it later as you see what you actually are using.
